1. Introduction

HideApp ("App", "we", "us", "our") is a global chat and social messaging application developed and operated by hyperr volt, Udaipur, Rajasthan, India. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your personal information when you use HideApp.

By downloading, installing, or using HideApp, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use immediately and delete your account.

This policy complies with the Google Play Store Developer Policy, Information Technology Act 2000, and IT (Intermediary Guidelines & Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.

2. Information We Collect

A. Account & Profile Information

To create and manage your account, we collect and store the following information in our database:

• Full Name
• Email Address
• Date of Birth (DOB) (for age verification, as required by Google Play Families Policy)
• Gender
• Interests
• Profile Picture

B. Communication Data

• Messages, chats, photos, videos, and files you send or receive.
• Group memberships and chat history.

C. App Permissions & Device Data

To provide core app functionalities, we request the following Android device permissions:

• Storage & Camera: Used exclusively to allow you to capture and share images and videos securely during chats.
• Location: You can select to provide approximate or precise location. We only fetch your City, State, and Country from this permission and store it in our database to enhance your connection with users locally and globally.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, operate, and improve HideApp's core chat features.
• To display your Profile (Name, Gender, Interests, Location, Profile Pic) to other users to facilitate connections.
• To detect and prevent spam, fraud, abuse, and prohibited content.
• To comply with applicable Indian laws and legal obligations.
• To respond to your support requests and grievances.

We do not sell your personal data to third-party advertisers.

4. Data Security

• All messages are transmitted using robust encryption.
• Data is stored on secure servers using industry-standard AES-256 encryption.
• Our employees do not have access to the content of your private messages.

5. Data Retention & Auto-Deletion Rules

HideApp is built around extreme privacy. We follow strict auto-deletion rules for your communications:

Chat Messages (24-Hour Auto-Delete)

All text messages and chat history are automatically deleted within 24 hours. Once the 24-hour period expires, the chats are permanently wiped from the HideApp application and our servers. They cannot be recovered.

Images & Media (View Once)

Any images shared within the chat are set to a "View Once" model by default. Once the recipient views the image, it is immediately and permanently deleted from the application and our servers.

Profile Data (Stored Permanently)

While your chats disappear, the core profile data you provide during registration is stored securely in our database as long as your account is active. This includes:

• Full Name, Email Address, Date of Birth, Gender, Interests, Profile Picture, and fetched Location (City, State, Country).

If you choose to delete your account via the app settings, all of this stored profile data will be permanently erased.

6. Children's Privacy

HideApp is NOT intended for children under 13 years of age. We comply fully with the Google Play Families Policy and do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

• Age verification (via DOB) is mandatory during registration.
• Users aged 13–17 must provide verifiable parental or guardian consent.
• If we discover that a user under 13 has created an account, it will be permanently deleted immediately.

7. Your Rights & Choices

• Access & Correction: You can view and update your profile information, interests, and profile picture directly through your app settings.
• Deletion: You can delete your account at any time. Account deletion permanently erases your stored profile data from our database.
• Withdraw Consent: You can revoke Camera, Storage, or Location permissions at any time via your device's operating system settings.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via an in-app notification and/or email at least 15 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of HideApp after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
